Call for Digitization Requests 2022

Thanks to renewed funding by the Saxony State Digitization Program, Leipzig University Library (UBL) will be able to continue the systematic digitization of its book manuscripts in 2022.
Due the numerous responses of two calls in 2018 and 2019, the UB is again asking all interested scholars to submit digitization requests in 2022. A contingent of 30 manuscripts is reserved for research-driven digitization. If you would like to suggest the digitization of a UBL manuscript (shelfmark areas: Ms, Ms 2000, Ms Null, Rep.), please send us a short message with your suggestion and a brief description of your research project to handschriftenzentrum@ub.uni-leipzig.de by May 31, 2022.
The first 30 submissions will be chosen for digitization, given that digitization is possible with regard to conservational reasons. In accordance with UBL‘s Open Digitization Policy, the digitized manuscripts will be published as public domain. The digitized manuscripts will also be added to the new Handschriftenportal.
Until June 30, 2022, we will let you know if your digitization proposal could be accepted.
We appreciate your interest in our manuscript collection!
