EBS (= evidence-based selection) refers to a form of acquisition in which, at the end of the year, the users of Leipzig University Library primarily decide which media are to be permanently added to the library collection. Acquisition is based on the usage statistics of the individual media. The costs for the provision of the e-books were covered by the regular budget of Leipzig University Library and special funds from the Saxony Consortium, the association of university libraries in Saxony.
