From December 28, 2018, the self-service terminals at Leipzig University Library will be converted to use with a PIN (personal identification number).
This means that if you lose your library card, it cannot be used on the terminals by anyone else, hence automatically protecting your account.
On the day when the self-service terminals are switched to PIN operation, all existing library accounts will get a default four-digit PIN based on birthday dates: ddmm. Please change your PIN (after switching to PIN operation) as soon as possible in your library account.
If you reset your password for your library account, your PIN for the self-service terminals will be deleted and you will have to create a new one.
