IIIF Outreach at MUTEC 2020

Presenting digitized art and culture on the Internet - but how? In recent years, the IIIF standard has established a globally recognized technology that enables digitized objects to be published in a very convenient and technologically interoperable way. Museums, libraries and other cultural institutions around the world have jointly developed IIIF and adopted it as a new standard. Countless institutions made millions of IIIF-compatible images available, including many outstanding paintings, drawings, manuscripts and other cultural objects.

In close cooperation with the IIIF Community Leipzig University Library will organize a IIIF Outreach Event on 5 November 2020 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (CET) at the MUTEC 2020 - the international trade fair for museum and exhibition technology in Leipzig. Representatives of international museums and libraries will report on their projects and experiences with IIIF and will be available for professional exchange.
