There are several locations at Campus Library where you may find your items. They are either available at once or have to be requested from the closed stacks. The respective location is displayed in the catalog.

Open Access Areas and Textbook Collection (floors +2 to -2)

In these areas items are displayed systematically by subject. You can collect them directly from the respective shelf. Items marked with a red dot are non-circulating.

Closed Stacks

The closed stacks are not accessible. All items displayed in the catalog as 'closed stack' have to be requested.

Items of the circulating collection can be collected from the self-service shelves on ground floor. Items of the non-circulating collection, journals and books published before 1920, can be collected at the service desk on ground floor.

Delivery timeframes for ordered items

Monday–Friday:
Orders from the closed stacks placed by noon will be provided no later than the following day.

We offer five group study rooms on the 1st basement and four group study rooms on the 1st floor.

You can reserve the group study rooms online. If not booked by someone else it can be used at once.

Group study room overview & reservation (online)

You can use book scanners for free in LUL. High quality scans can be produced and saved on a flash drive or sent to your smartphone. The scanners are book friendly, environmentally friendly, quiet and low-emission.

A copy and print machine is located on the first floor. This service is offered by Customized University Services GmbH.

Please notice that you can only print PDF from flash drive. Copies and prints are fee based.

At Campus-Library you can hire lockers to store your personal materials for 60 days. Please ask at the service desk on first floor.

Beverages in stable and firmly closable containers are permitted in the reading areas as long as you do not disturb anyone with them. It is generally not allowed to eat in the reading areas.

If you would like to take a meal break in the library, you are welcome to use the entrance area.
