Access media online
Most of the library's electronic media such as e-journals, e-books and databases are licensed by LUL for members of Leipzig University. In the libraries all patrons can use these on the library computers or while conneted to the wireless network in the library.
Remote access to these licensed products is only available for members of Leipzig University. Thus they have to authentify if they want to use liscensed materials form home or any place outside the University.
There are two options to authentify:
Members of Leipzig University can download the software from the website of the Computer Center of the University.
You will need your Uni-Login, to authentify via VPN.
Please note: Institutional login is not currently available with all providers.
Some providers allow you to log in directly with your university login to access electronic full texts (e-books, e-journals, articles).
To do so, select your institution, usually the University of Leipzig or the Leipzig University Library.
Tips for selecting an institution:
- Search for ‘Leipzig’
- Search for ‘University’
- If necessary, select ‘DFN-AAI’ and then enter ‘Leipzig’
