State of accessibility
We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) Level AA and the European standard EN 301 549, Version 3.2.1. as our accessibility targets.
Our website is currently only partially accessible according to these guidelines and standards.
Content with limited accessibiliy
As of 20 February 2026 the following content is still not fully accessible:
- PDFs included in the website. We aim to have this issue solved during spring 2026.
- We have no summary of our website in sign language. We are currently investigating this.
- There may still be images with insufficient descriptions/alt text. This is currently being checked.
- There may still be video and audio files with insufficient descriptions/alt text.
Katalog
- Out library catalogue contains a button which allows switching between a dark and a light presentation mode. By default, the catalogue attempts to use the system default here.
- Some catalogue features currently still lack sufficient contrast. We are currently working to rectify this.
- The titles listed in the catalogue usually come without language information or tags. Some titles even contain several languages without any structural separation. All we can do here is mark the titles as "language unknown" (lang="").
- During an accessibility test in February 2026, several accessibility issues where detected, including missing alt-texts. We are currently working to rectify this.
